Bio

The Portuondo Gallery, established in Paris since 2004, specializes in decorative art from the second half of the 20th century, with a focus on pieces from the 1950s and 1970s. It is led by the Spanish couple Horacio and Julia Portuondo. Horacio comes from a long line of antique dealers and Julia excels as a jewelry designer.

The gallery’s selection of works primarily focuses on French designers from the post-war modern era, such as Joseph André Motte, Roger Landault, and Jean-Claude Farhi. It also includes works from other European artists such as the Italian artist Gabriella Crespi or the Greek sculptor Panayótis Vassilákis (Takis).

In addition, the gallery showcases contemporary designers in harmony with its main aesthetic, such as Clotilde Ancarani with her solid bronze pieces, Jean-Frederic Bourdier with marble creations, and the jewelry designer Julia Muñoz specialized in gilded bronze.
