VICTORIA PONIATOWSKI

Bio

A legacy of inspiration. When the art of living is first and foremost a family affair.

Victoria Poniatowski discovered her taste for style and the decorative arts by looking at curiosities she’d picked up on distant trips and at the creations of a grandmother named Jeanne Lanvin.

It’s a curiosity that developed at a young age when she came into contact with rare and precious objects, helping her mother Ariane, president of the ‘Paris tout P’tits’ association, to organise charity auctions at Christie’s and Artcurial.

After a master’s degree in art business at Sotheby’s Institute of London, Victoria Poniatowski worked at the Fine Art Fund in London before launching her own consultancy company.

She handles her clients’ donations to major cultural institutions and manages major private collections. Along with patron Basma Al Sulaiman, she will be managing the BASMOCA project, the first virtual museum in a private collection designed to promote emerging Middle Eastern artists and contemporary creations.

Sharing beauty. Unearthing new talent and showcasing unique pieces has become an aspiration. In Paris, where she lives, Victoria Poniatowski recently co-founded the ‘MAM Millenials’, a committee that helps to promote the Musée d’art Moderne de Paris among the younger generation.

With Victoria Poniatowski Design, this design and tableware enthusiast presents unique objects that are as close to home as they are to hand.
