Bio
Maria Sipinska is an architect, designer, entrepreneur, and holder of a PhD in architecture whose career spans more than two decades across architecture, interior design, research, and creative direction. Working throughout Poland, London, New York, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, she has developed projects that combine technical precision with a deeply human-centered understanding of space.
Throughout her professional journey, Sipinska has been fascinated by the emotional and psychological impact of the environments we inhabit. She devoted her dissertation to it. Following years of intensive international practice, particularly in the Middle East, she experienced a profound creative shift. Inspired by meditative walks and close observation of nature, she began exploring a more intuitive artistic language, moving beyond the structured frameworks of architecture toward a practice rooted in materiality, light, and transformation.
Rejecting strict geometry, her work draws inspiration from natural processes such as erosion, oxidation, growth, and weathering. Raw materials coexist with translucent elements, subtle iridescence, and reflective surfaces, creating a dynamic dialogue between solidity and fragility, opacity and transparency. Light becomes an essential medium, continuously transforming the work and revealing new layers of depth and perception.
Balancing architectural knowledge with artistic intuition, Sipi?ska creates sculptural works that exist between art, design, and nature. Rather than representing the natural world, her practice seeks to embody its rhythms, complexity, and constant state of becoming.
Presented internationally on this scale for the first time, this debut marks the beginning of a new chapter in her creative journey—one shaped by decades of experience, personal transformation, and a profound connection to the enduring intelligence of nature.
