For Paris Design Week, the maison parisienne gallery is spotlighting Pierre Renart, a designer and cabinetmaker who combines traditional woodworking skills with innovative technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this event, Pierre Renart took over the Cour de l’Intendant de l’H\u00f4tel de la Marine, with an original piece: “Escale”, a hammock composed of 7 hornbeam slats evoking the artist’s Fusion collection and inspired by Hugh Dutton’s glass roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With its spectacular dimensions, this creation revisits Pierre Renart’s training in seat joinery at the \u00c9cole Boulle, and confronts the grandeur of the H\u00f4tel de la Marine, former Garde-Meuble of the Crown in the 18th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
