William Coggin is an American artist who graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
His studio is currently located in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, within the structure of Peter
Lane, of whom he is the first assistant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After years of working on functional wheel-turned vessels, William has now embarked on large-scale contemporary design projects. These organic forms take many forms, including objects such as tables, lights sculptures, bookcases, as well as large bas-reliefs. This exhibition is the artist’s first solo show in Europe and demonstrates the evolution of his work.
William Coggin’s work in functional sculpture in ceramics is a captivating exploration of the beauty and potential of this medium. He finds immense wonder in
working with ceramics, appreciating its raw and natural essence, which allows him to create art that connects with the inherent beauty of the world around him.
