Bio
The Galerie Sarto has two galleries in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, near the Musée d’Orsay.
The first space is devoted to modern artists, mainly French, from the 1920s to the 1990s with a special place for the work of Jacques Cartier (1907-2001), an animal artist of the Art Deco period who was the subject of an important catalog raisonné produced by its founder and director Axel Rondouin. The other part of the selection is turned towards post-war abstract painting such as Pino Manos (1930-2020 catalog raisonné of works on paper in progress), Olivier Debré, Gérard Schneider, Jean Fautrier, Antoni Tàpies, André Lanskoy, Raymond Hains…
The second space is dedicated to the defense of contemporary creation through monographic exhibitions of Julien Airault (catalog raisonné published by Sarto), François Benoit Lison (catalog raisonné published by Sarto), Jirasak Anoujhon, Phanchat Yodmanee, Patrick Roger…
For this 2023 edition, the gallery is proud to present a selection of totally unreleased works by the Italian artist Pino Manos (1930-2020) as well as works by Julien Airault, the gallery’s flagship artist.
The scenography is realized by Fabrice Ausset who will also present several of his realizations, also visible all year round in our galleries.
